Clutter free Bedroom Sophia Calima

Why it’s important to keep the bedroom clutter free

By keeping the bedroom organized, you can create a sanctuary where you can rest and rejuvenate. This can be done by removing excess furniture, and keeping only items that promote relaxation in the room. It is also helpful to have a designated spot for everything so that there is no clutter on the floor or surfaces

For most of us, clearing away clutter can be a time-consuming and emotional process. It’s not easy to let go of something which belongs to us, even more so when we’ve spent a considerable amount of time and energy in acquiring it. Minimalists remind us to keep only those things whose purpose align with our purpose. And remember, a cluttered area doesn’t function as well as an organized one

In feng shui, clutter represents stagnant energy which impedes the flow of qi, the universal life force which connects everything and everyone. New opportunities, including career and relationships, are not made manifest as there’s no room for growth

I like the ‘one in, one out rule.’ Each time I bring in something new, I let go, sell or donate something old (or broken). In this way, organizing my space becomes more manageable and pleasant 🕉

When we let go of things that no longer serve us, we make space for new experiences and opportunities. To quote best-selling author Mitch Albom, ‘all endings are also beginnings. We just don’t know it at the time.’
